SRINAGAR, Jan 18:   Jammu and Kashmir Cements Limited Employees Association today said they support the State Vigilance Organisations’ probe ordered by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to unearth the illegal mess which has taken place in it.
Publicity Secretary, JKCLEA, Mohammad Ashraf Bhat said that their association supports the SVO probe and those officials who are involved should be dealt with justice.
Bhat said the employees of the JKCL would not allow the plant to die as has been claimed by some people.
Bhat said the present position in the plant is that it is producing 60 to 70 percent of its rated production in spite of power failures, fluctuations which is highly detrimental for production and equipment as well.
“We will give our blood to the plant so that it survives and thrives in the State. The authorities along with the employees have thought of taking several measures which will improve its functioning,” Bhat said.
“This plant is yet to be taken over by JKCL as it has been handed over to M/s Promac Performance Guarentee Testing for some time as per the terms and conditions of the contract agreement reached between the JKCL authorities and them,” Bhat said.
