JKDAU promotes J&K delicacy in Uganda

JAMMU, Apr 10: Jammu Kashmir Dogra Association Uganda (JKDAU) promoted J&K food and culture during the grand get-together event organized at Millennium Ground, Uganda.
The Indian High Commissioner in Uganda, Upendra Singh Rawat was chief guest in the programme, which was organized on last Sunday in connection with the Holi celebrations.
In the programme, organized by Rajasthani Association Uganda in association with Indian Association Uganda, JKDAU participated with its special food stall. It introduced the J&K delicacy Rajma Chawal with Anardana Chatani served on `pattal’ and, Desi Chai & Kashmiri Kahwa.
The Bhaderwahi Rajma, Pattal, Anardana, Desi Chai & Kashmiri Kahwa leaves were specially imported from J&K to give real taste of J&K to the people in Uganda.
Indian High Commissioner Upendra Singh also visited J&K stall and tasted the food. It was most loved and admired by the dignitaries and common people.
According to Gourav Gupta, Chairman of JKDAU, they felt so motivated and pleased to see that J&K native food was whole heartedly admired by public in Uganda.
