JAMMU, Jan 14: Jammu Kashmir Democratic Front (JKDF) demanded implementation of Government decision on the recommendations of Committee on the issue related to Defence personnel and Ex-Servicemen, regarding grant of dual family pension from military as well as Civil employment to the personnel of paramilitary forces and their families as well.
This was stated by JKDF State president Anil Gupta during interaction with a deputation from All J&K Paramilitary forces Ex-servicemen Welfare Association.
JKDF will raise the issue of granting of dual pension to personnel of Paramilitary forces in case a retired person from these forces is re-employed in any Civil Department of Central or State Government”, Gupta said, adding that retired personnel of defence forces are already in purview of dual pension after implementation of Government decision in this regard in year 2012.
He pointed out that these disparities have arisen due to lackadaisical approach of Government to recognize the services of Ex-Paramilitary forces personnel at par with the Defence forces.
Gupta said that the discriminated attitude of the Government has made the post retirement lives of paramilitary personnel miserable, besides future of their wards in dark.
Gupta appealed the Central and State Government to expand the purview of these recommendations to the personnel of paramilitary forces, so that they cannot be deprived of getting the dual pensions from their services in forces and current employment of Civil Departments of Central and State Government wherever it is applicable.
