JAMMU, July 21: To protest against the State Government ‘s failure to formulate effective policy on employment and growing frustration among youth of the State, JKDF Youth Wing today held a massive signature campaign outside GGM Science College, Canal Road, Jammu. The Signature Campaign was  led by district general secretary Rohit Kerni  in presence of Chairman JKDF Anil Gupta, Munish Khajuria, (president district Youth Wing) and  Vikrant Sharma (district secretary).
Earlier today hundreds of activists of JKDF and youths gathered  near GGM Science College, Canal Road to mark their signatures in favour of their demand for unemployment allowance of Rs. 2000/- P.M till absorption into the jobs.
The Signature Campaign started with the slogans by youths  to show their resentment against the policies of Government. The non serious attitude of Government to formulate the concrete policy for minimizing the unemployment problem has been flayed by all in one voice, a JKDF handout said.
While speaking to signatories Anil Gupta Said, We have held series of  peaceful protest demonstrations, rallies and dharnas to apprise the Government about our demand for  unemployment allowance of meager Rs. 2000/- P.M for youths till their absorption in Corporate or Government Jobs. But this Government paid no heed to our peaceful ways of protest to highlight our demands.”
We are going to hand over a memorandum along with these signatures of Jammu youth to Governor once the series of signature campaign concludes, but at the same time we warn this Government to consider our demand for unemployment allowance or else be ready to face the wrath of thousands of youth who are fully supporting the endeavors of JKDF”.
