JKDF withdraws tomorrow’s bandh call as authorities grant permission to hold rally

JAMMU, Feb 18: JKDF has withdrawn the Jammu bandh call for tomorrow after district administration granted permission to the party for holding of “Duggar Chetna Rally” (Motor cycle/Car Rally) after making some modifications in the rally route.
This was stated in a handout issued by JKDF here today.
It said a meeting was held between the representatives of JKDF and district administration represented by DC Jammu, SSP Traffic and officiating SSP Jammu in which it was decided that the Rally shall be allowed with modification in the route.
Following the permission by the authorities the JKDF has withdrawn the Bandh Call for tomorrow. It also expressed gratitude to all those who supported the cause of commemorating and saluting the sacrifices of the great heroes and sons of soil.
JKDF has appealed the people to participate in the Duggar Chetna Rally tomorrow, on the eve of Duggar Shaurya Diwas (JKDF Foundation Day) in large numbers to make it successful.
In the meeting JKDF was represented by its President Anil Gupta and Senior leaders Murari Lal, Ramkumar, Surinder Sharma and  Suresh Sharma while Jagdish Sapolia (M.L.A Basohli) and   Bharat Bhushan (M.L.A Domana) also accompanied them.
