JKEDI organizes workshop on ‘Entrepreneurship Development’

KATRA, Sept 7: The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute in association with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, organised one day workshop on Entrepreneu-rship Development in University campus here on Monday.
The workshop was inaugurated by Prof V Verma, Dean College of Engineering, SMVDU.  He stressed upon the need of creating awareness about entrepreneurship among the educated unemployed youth so as to solve the problem of unemployment.
“Entrepreneurship is the key that can unlock India’s latent inventive potential. It will not only push India to the forefront of the world but also help raise the quality of life in the country,” said DNO JKEDI Reasi, Vir Partap Singh Slathia in his inaugural speech. The main objective of this workshop was to conduct a widespread culture of Entrepreneurship help and tackle the problem of unemployment and promote overall economic growth and to impart necessary entrepreneurial skills to future entrepreneurs.
The workshop was aimed at to enable the future entrepreneurs of latest know-how about setting up an enterprise. The workshop comprised of eight  technical sessions on;    Various Schemes Information,  how to set up an enterprise,  how to manage an enterprise,   characteristics of an entrepreneur,  Role of Banks and availability of Finance,  Accounting procedures,  Marketing procedures,  Simulation  etc.
The other trainers from JKEDI present in the workshop, were   Anirudh Gupta DNO Udhampur, Megha Sharma and Shivani Sharma.  B  K  Bhatia, Training and Placement Officer, SMVDU was also present on the occasion.
The workshop was organized under guidance and support of Dr  M I  Parray, Director J&K EDI and Dr  Majid Manzoor Khan, Communication Officer J&KEDI.
