JKEEGA deputation calls on Chief Secy

JAMMU, Feb 2: A deputation of All Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Engineering Graduates  Association (JKEEGA)  met the Chief Secretary B R Sharma and apprised him of the issues of the electrical engineers  here today.
Led by president of the JKEEGA, Pirzada Hidayatullah and general secretary Neeraj Sharma,  the members during meeting raised the issue of stagnation being faced by the graduate engineers. They laid thrust on the implementation of running grade system without linkage to the vacancies.  They claimed that many other services in J&K like Medical Services, Veterinary Services, Lecturers etc were enjoying benefit of running grade.
The Chief Secretary was made aware that though engineers were working on the post of Development Commissioner Power, Chief Engineers  and SEs but are superannuating in the grade of either AEE or Assistant Engineer  because their services are not regularized.  This system is needed to be corrected.  They also demanded to fill up vacant posts and increase manpower in view of enhanced infrastructure.
The Chief Secretary gave patient hearing and assured to address their issues. Navneet Mahajan, Abhineet Gupta, Arush Mahajan and other members  also accompanied.
