SRINAGAR, Apr 28: J&K Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (JKEEGA) has expressed resentment over delay being caused in the regularization/ promotions of the engineers in the Power Development Department.
General secretary of the organization, Pirzada Hidayatullah while talking to media-persons here today expressed dismay over the delay in regularization of engineers. He said despite SAC decision on 22-10-2019, to complete the regularization process of all the Power engineers as one time exemption in two months, more than four years have passed, but no progress has been achieved so far. Such worst is the situation that most of the SEs and Xens are drawing the salary of Junior Engineer at present.
Over 700 posts of different cadre of engineers are lying vacant but the authorities at the helm of affairs are unmoved over the situation. Out of 124 Divisions, 58 Divisions are lying headless. 126 posts of AEEs, 161 that of AEs and 400 posts of Junior Engineers are lying vacant in the PDD. Nobody is bothered about the stagnation and other issues being faced by the engineers. The JKEEGA has sought intervention of Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha into the matter.
