JAMMU, Dec 13: J&K Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (JKEEGA) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Doulat Ram Bhagat.
The speakers condemned the recent attachment orders issues by HRM Section of Administrative Department (PDD) on the recommendations of a team without any authorized electrical inspector.
The speakers added that allegations leveled by the inspection team are not based on the facts, which has created resentment among engineers and such orders have shattered their morale.
In the meeting, various important issues lying pending before the Government were also discussed with the members of the guidance council. After deliberations, it was decided that the association will put forth the important issues such as to expedite the regularization of engineers at all levels, deputation of engineers to other departments, adjustment of already promoted AEs, reconsideration of the case of fixing the seniority of AMIE holders, promotion of engineers at all levels, fixation of seniority of JEs and referring of vacant posts of JEs to SSB.
It was urged upon the Government that deputation of engineers to other departments must be tenure based, ex-cadre and with deputation allowance. Further, the Administrative Secretary may issue immediate necessary directions to the DCP (PDD) for further adjustment of already promoted AEs, who are awaiting adjustment even after being promoted from last one year. The meeting was attended by the members of executive body and majority of guidance council members.
