JAMMU, June 26: A deputation of J&K Electrical Employees Union (JKEEU) led by its president Abdul Salam Rajpuri called on Principal Secretary to PDD Arun Kumar Mehta, Special secretary Tasneem Majid, Additional Secretary Mohinder Singh, DC Power, Asgar Ali Majaz and chief engineers Bashir Ahmed Khan, Gul Ayaz, Khursheed Ahmad Budoo, Shahnaz Goni, Ajay Gupta and others.
Mr Rajpuri recalled and reminded them the earlier meetings held with Principal Secretary to JKPDD and other officers of the department regarding the pending demands of the employees of PDD.
It demanded improvement in the deteriorated power network, implementation of SRO 59 in all regions of the State, regularization of daily rated workers in PDC, enhancement of wages of need based workers and making of a special policy for their regularization, amendment in SRO 272 and enhancement in Secretariat Assistant Training quota, release of Risk Allowance in favour of employees, health insurance for employees, amendment of SRO 381, framing of norms for JKPDC, removal of pay anomalies of meter readers, linemen and technicians, amendment of Welfare Fund and convening of DPC.
