JAMMU, Dec 15: Jammu and Kashmir Forest Corporation Employees Forum (JKFCEF) took out protest rally and also suspended work from 10 am to 3 pm here today.
More than 500 employees of Forest Corporation marched towards Raj Bhavan from Bikram Chowk, here. They raised slogans against Government and management.
While addressing gathering at Jammu, Suresh Sharma, Spokesperson, JKFCEF lambasted the Government and management for not releasing salary for the last four months and forcing the employees to come on road.

“Release of pending salaries viz its regularisation, release of deficit DA of 39 per cent and arrears of 6th Pay Commission, implementation of 7th Pay Commission and immediate conduct of DPC meeting”, Suresh demanded and said that there is an atmosphere of uncertainty amongst employees which was the reason for employees to come on road.
He declared that in case salary is not regularised and demands are not met, the employees will have no alternative but to intensify agitation, for which program will be announced very soon.
The employees braving cold and COVID, started marching towards Raj Bhavan. However on the intervention of ADC Jammu and hectic persuasion, the protest rally was suspended on the assurance given from Government side that their genuine demands will be addressed.
Sharma has appealed to the Lieutenant Governor and Chief Secretary to intervene and resolve the issues of the Forest Corporation employees.
Many senior leaders at Jammu viz CK Sudan, Sandip Sharma, Irshad Masoom, etc addressed the rally.
Similar protests were also held at all the units of Forest Corporation in Doda, Kishtwar, Bhaderwah, Padder, Marwah, Dacchan, Bhalessa, Ramban, Banihal, Batote, Udhampur, Dudu, Pancheri, Rajouri and Poonch. The employees from Kashmir Division also observed and demonstrated where ever possible.
