JAMMU, Feb 9: With a view to provide impetus to the initiative of Government of India to bring every household within banking fold, J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) opened its new business unit at Jeevan Nagar, today.
Prominent citizens of the locality were present on the occasion of opening ceremony of the branch.
While speaking on the occasion, Vagish Chander Sharma, Chairman of the bank impressed upon the gathering to avail all types of banking facilities from this newly opened fully computerized branch. He apprised the gathering that JKGB is spread across 13 districts of State of J&K and is fully committed to the socio economic development of its masses. He also informed that bank will be shortly opening more branches in the unbanked areas of the State.
General Manager, Gurcharan Singh, while speaking called upon the audience to come forward for availing various banking facilities being extended at their doorstep while ensuring that financial discipline is maintained.
Savresh Kohli, Area Manager Jammu also spoke on the occasion and made people aware about bank deposit/credit schemes.
Babeet Kumar, Branch Head extended the vote of thanks to the gathering as well as to the staff members of the bank for providing unstinted support.
