JAMMU, Mar 28: J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) today opened two financial literacy centres first at Narwal and Baramulla District in Kashmir region with NABARD’s support and financial assistance.
Shankar A Pande, Chief General Manager, NABARD, was chief guest who highlighted the role of FLCs in the present day scenario. He spoke at length about the benefits of financial literacy drives.
Earlier, Vagish Chander Sharma, Chairman of the bank welcomed the chief guest and the participants and informed that JKGB is among the few Regional Rural Banks in the country to have opened FLCs.
He also highlighted the role of SHGs, JLGs and financial literacy center and thanked NABARD for its continuous support.
S S Batoa, DGM FID NABARD and Gurucharan Singh General Manager JKGB also spoke on the occasion.
VK Sharma, senior Manager MFFI JKGB presented the vote of thanks.
