JAMMU, Oct 12: J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) in assistance with NABARD organised an Awareness camp on Financial Inclusion at branch office, village Khabbar, block Kalakote, district Rajouri.
The programme was inaugurated by SS Billwaria, General Manager of the bank, who was the chief guest. While speaking, he highlighted the initiatives taken by the bank for credit dispension in the diversified activities for the purpose of setting up economic units for augmenting the income of the poor families and in turn overall development of the rural people through institutional credit.
RP Sharma, incharge, Microfinance and Financial Inclusion Department, apprised the gathering about the various leading schemes of the bank for providing credit to agriculturists, business community of the area, etc.
Des Raj, DDM, NABARD, district Rajouri, MS Bhau, Area Manager, Rajouri, representatives from agriculture and other line department, Sarpanchs and Panchs of the village also spoke in the occasion.
At the end, Surat Singh, Branch Head, Tirath, presented vote of thanks.
