JKGB organizes awareness camp on social security schemes

SRINAGAR, Sept 15: J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) in collaboration with NABARD organized an awareness programme on the recently launched Pradhan Mantri’s social security schemes at village Jehama, Baramulla.
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest, VK Sharma, Senior Manager MF&FI Department, JKGB, informed the participants at length regarding the benefits of newly launched social security schemes and other bank schemes.
He further informed the gathering that these schemes have been designed to provide security cover to the poor population particularly those working in the unorganized sectors. He advised the people to avail this benefit through nearest Grameen Bank Branch.
Mohd Sultan Dar, Financial Literacy counselor, District Baramulla, while speaking on the occasion informed the gathering about various schemes started by the Centre to impart training to unemployed youth.
Rafia Balroo, RSETI, J&K Bank, District Baramulla, informed the gathering about the training being imparted by them.
Representatives from Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Department also spoke at length about various schemes and incentives provided by them.
