JKGB organizes awareness prog

KATHUA, June 28: J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) today organized one day awareness programme at Government Middle School, Chak Sajan, here, by its base Branch Kathua with NABARD’s Financial assistance and support.
Jitender A Singh, District Development Commisioner, Kathua who was the chief guest on the occasion, inaugurated the credit cum awareness programme in an impressive function.
While speaking on the occasion, he highlighted the initiatives taken by the Bank for credit dispensation in diversified activities for the purpose of setting up economic units to augment the income of the families and for overall development of the rural people through institutional credit. He also distributed Kissan Credit Cards worth Rs.79.50 Lakh and 150 passbook of basic saving bank deposit account among the beneficiaries.
Earlier, Vagish Chander Sharma, Chairman, JKGB welcomed the chief guest and appraised the gathering about the various lending schemes of the Bank for providing credit to agriculturists, business community, transporters etc.
GM Sadiq, General Manager, JKGB, VK Sharma, senior manager, Microfinance and Financial Inclusion, Aman Kalsotra , DDM NABARD Kathua and Ravi Kalsotra, Lead Bank Officer,Kathua also spoke on the occasion.
