JKGB organizes Financial Literacy Camp

JAMMU, Nov 28: Financial Literacy Center of J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) today organized a financial literacy camp ‘Going Digital’ at village Chhurta, Dansal near here.
The camp was organized under the chairmanship of Janak Raj Angural to aware the public about various financial products and the recent technological innovations in banking sector.
On this occasion, Vipan Gupta, HoD Financial Literacy Centre of JKGB informed about the benefits of social security schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana.
He informed the gathering that in PMJDY, the overdraft amount has been raised to Rs 10,000 and the age limit to open a PMJDY account is also increased to 65 years and there will be no condition for overdraft up to Rs 2,000 plus the accidental insurance cover for new RuPay card holders has been raised from Rs 1 lakh to 2 lakh for the new PMJDY accounts opened after Aug 28, 2018.
Nisar Malik, Manager, Regional Office Jammu talked on the ongoing JKGB Festival Bonanza – 2018 with a special offer of rebate in rate of interest and no processing charges on car, consumer durable goods and two wheeler loans.
Sakshi Sharma, Associate Executive IT and Vicky Kumar, FI&I Department enlightened the participants about new technologies available in the bank such as multiple uses of Bank cheques, use of POS Machine, RuPay Debit card, KCC RuPay Debit Card, Net Banking, Mobile Banking Services, Adhaar based transactions etc.
Arsheed Bhat, BDP, Umeed and Hardeep Singh, Jammu Head, Religare also spoke on the occasion.
Besides the gathering, the other dignitaries of the area including Sarpanchs and Panchs were also present during the event.
