JKGEJAC projects pending issues of Govt employees

JAMMU, Feb 26: J&K Govt Employees Joint Action Committee (JKGEJAC), Jammu today strongly projected the long pending issues of the employees of J&K UT.
In a joint press conference addressed here today, JAC president- Balwinder Singh, senior vice president Ravi Singh Bhau, general secretary Dharminder Singh and others made a strong appeal to the Lt Governor , Girish Chandra Murmu to address the pending issues of the J&K Government employees.
They demanded regularization of daily rated workers, ITI trained diploma holders , land donors, ad hoc/ contractual workers of various departments by making amendment in SRO- 64 of 1994. They also demanded to abolish SRO-202 and grant full pay benefits with all allowances to the employees appointed under this SRO.
They further demanded to grant retrospective effect of clerical pay anomaly with effect from 01-01-1996 by making amendment in SRO 333 of 2018, dated 02-08-2018 on the analogy of other cadres as well as restoration of the two increments which were granted on the time of passing of SAC examination; implementation of 7th Central Pay Commission in toto as per Union Territory status in favour of J&K employees; enhance Medical allowance of J&K employees and pensioners from Rs 300 to Rs 3000 per month, revoke New Pension Scheme and provide full pensionery benefits to J&K employees appointed after January Ist, 2010.
JKGEJAC also appealed to the Accountant General, Jammu to settle the pension cases of retired employees of different departments of the J&K UT.
Senior Trade unionists- Ravinder Singh (Planning), Balbir Rahi, Sanjeev Chandel, Ranjit Singh, Romesh Singh, Amir Bhat and Avtar Krishan also accompanied.
