Srinagar, May 30: A delegation All Jammu and Kashmir Government Pharmacists Association (JKGPA) led by its State president, Sheikh Mehraj-ud-Din called on Minister for Finance, Labour and Employment, Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari here on May 28.
A JKGPA spokesman said that the delegation put forth their various demands before the minister and seek early redressal of their grievances.
He said a detailed discussion was held for the immediate redressal of the demands which includes up-gradation of left out pharmacists who were left during re-organization of pharmacists who are stagnant for the last 27 years, up-gradation of the posts of Block Pharmacy Officers & District Pharmacy Officers, DPC & Time Bound Promotion regarding pharmacist cadre employees of Kashmir division should be conducted twice in a week that is pending since 2009 and amendment of SRO-20.
They also demanded sanctioning of technical grades in favor of these pharmacists to avoid the stagnation of pharmacists on the analogy of sanitary inspectors of Health Department.
“The minister assured the leaders that their genuine demands will be looked into and the problems will be solved as soon as possible,” the spokesman said.
