JKGPA takes up demands with Financial Commissioner

JAMMU, Nov 20: A deputation of Jammu and Kashmir Government Pharmacist Association (JKGPA) headed by its Jammu province president Sushil Sudan today met Financial Commissioner, Health & Medical Education Department, Atal Dulloo and discussed the demands of pharmacists.
The deputation which was also comprised of JKGPA Kashmir province president, Seikh Mehraju-ud-Din had a detailed meeting with the Financial Commissioner in his office chamber, Civil Secretariat, Jammu.
The demands taken up in the meeting were upgradation of posts of District Pharmacy Officer and Block Pharmacy Officer, reconstitution of Pharmacy Council in J&K with inclusion under Pharmacy Council of India, handling of drugs by non qualified persons in all Government Medical Colleges, Department of Health Services, Jammu/Kashmir and Department of Family Welfare, Department of Aids Control and ISM Department and computerization of stores in Health Institutions in Jammu/Kashmir and capsule training course for all pharmacist who are handling the stores.
The Financial Commissioner assured early redressal of demands put forth by both the presidents of the Association.
Jarnail Singh Chodhary, JKGPA working president Jammu Division, Madan Lal and Daleep Kumar were also present in the meeting.
