JKGTF deputation submits memorandum to DSE

JAMMU, Oct 13: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Government Teachers Forum (JKGTF) led by its State chairman Amar Nath Thakur, met Anuradha Gupta, Director School Education Jammu (DSE-J) and presented a memorandum of various burning issues of teaching fraternity.
The demands raised and discussed in the meeting with DSE-J were adjustment of all newly promoted masters/teachers as incharge lecturers of all subjects, transfers of lecturers/masters serving in zone III and hard zones and have completed their stays to their choice places, adjustment of all surplus lecturers/masters/teachers on rational basis, DPC of masters as headmasters and other non-gazetted cadres, do away with giving non-academic tasks to teachers, clearing pending salary of 227 head teachers of district Kathua for the months of December 2017 and January, February 2018.
The deputation also highlighted other issues like clearing 7th PC arrears of all SSA head teachers and ReT teachers, releasing salary of ReT teachers before Diwali, issuing orders of ReT teachers of grade III, transfer policy for ReT teachers, issuing confirmation order of masters, teachers, lab assistants and regularization of all non-gazetted cadres, issuing salary of masters against vacant posts, etc.
The DSE-J gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured that their genuine demands will be looked into seriously.
Amar Nath Thakur (chairman), Satish Kumar Datta (State president), Parveen Singh (State general secretary) and Vijay Kumar and Surjit Singh (district presidents), were part of the deputation.
