JKGTF discusses issues concerning teaching community

KATHUA, Feb 20: Jammu Kashmir Government Teachers Forum (JKGTF) discussed various issues of the teaching community during a meeting held, here today under the chairmanship of Parveen Singh (UT president of the Forum).
The main issues that were deliberated upon included non rotation of MDM charges, overdue payments of shopkeepers, irregular payments to MDM cook, non sanction of deputation of summer camps and covid duties, not satisfactory 5 years stay in hard zones and border areas, recently promoted teachers in master grade on district wise disturbed seniority of teachers and non redressal of genuine and medical ground cases for transfer.
All the participated teachers highlighted the issues and expressed concern over the non redressal of all genuine problems of teaching community. Teachers appealed that MDM charge should be on rotation basis with the interval of 5 years. ATD is also required by the teachers as all are seeking their suitable transfer, they added.
While addressing the meeting, Parveen Singh said that teachers have to suffer for managing the MDM in the school and it directly affects the study of the students, so teachers should not be the part of MDM management. He added that ATD is very much needed in the beginning of a new session for those who are serving in hard zones.
