SRINAGAR, May 5: The J&K Innovative Foundation for Transforming Society (JKIFTS) today held its annual award function here during which several individuals were awarded for their achievements in different fields.
In this regard, an event was held here in which people from different walks of life participated and deliberated on several issues.
The founder of JKIFTS Dr Tasaduq Hussain Itoo while talking about the foundation said that it is an umbrella initiative launched in March 2020 and simulates many initiatives such as health, education, and drug de-addiction, forming the core of the foundation.
“The main idea of the foundation is to channelize and explore the potential of youngsters, and today we have made it possible for them to assemble here because writers have a great role to play in transforming the society,” he said.
“We had nominated a few awardees considering various factors such as impact and dedication in their respective fields,” he said.
Dr Itoo said that such events are very important to attract the youngster and inspire them to do more in their careers so that they could be the agents of change in society.
“Our youth are visiting places outside of J&K to attend conferences, we are aiming to provide them such a platform here by conducting a youth conference,” he said.
On the occasion, those who were awarded in different categories include, Abrar Ul Mustafa, Mushtaq Hurra, Dr Tasaduq Hussain Itoo, Mushtaque B Barq, Chetan Prabhakar, Veshi Syed, Dr Satish Vimal, Dr Shabnum Ashai, Syed Mujtaba Hussain, Dr Ayash Arif, Raashid Ul Nabi, Dr Vikas Roshan, Prof. (Dr.) Shad Ramzan, and Onco facts.
The certificates of appreciation were presented to Syed Mohsin Attiq, Dr Mohammad Rafiq Sofi, Ishrat Ashraf Malik, Mohammad Shaizan Nadaf, Faheem Ul Islam, Khursheed Ahmad Malla, Imtiyaz Gull and Musaib Mansoor.
