JKIPF demands resolution of pending issues

Srinagar, July 20: Jammu and Kashmir Industries’ Pensioners Forum (JKIPF) today held a one-day seminar wherein the attendants projected their long pending demands while seeking urgent resolution of the same.
State President, JKIPF Sambath Prakash was the guest of the honor on the occasion. He projected demands such as leave salary of 10 months, due-drawn pay arrears, anomalies, the genuine demands of VRS/GHS, pending pension cases and bringing in those employees who retired on January 2016 into 7th pay commission.
While speaking on the occasion, Sambath Prakash said that all the issues pertaining to the pensioners will be brought into the notice of the Governor and all the higher officials.
He warned that after that if their issues are not resolved after that, more than 2.5 lakh pensioners will start an agitation to press for their demands. He said that the govt will be entirely responsible for the consequences thereof. Moreover, during the seminar, the JKIPF was affiliated with All Jammu and Kashmir Pensioners Federation, Senior Citizens, Civil Society.
He said that under the order no IND-219 of the court, the pensioners were given their due rights, however, under order no IND-35 of the court, the directions have not been implemented so far.
It was also said that soon the forum will be organizing a day-long convention of all the pensioners, where they will press for their demands, apart from organizing a protest inside the premises of Old Secretariat.
The state presidents assured the participants of the seminar that they will do everything to highlight the issues being confronted by the pensioners and that of issues that are still lying pending with the Government.
