JAMMU, Nov 29: The 136th Board meeting of JKITCO Ltd was held under the chairmanship of Mohammed Shafi Pandit, former Chairman State Public Service Commission Independent Director, Soujanya Sharma former Municipal Commissioner, O P Bhagat MD J&K and Ladakh Finance Corp, Prakhar Somani Directer Dalip Jain consultant Praveen Acharya, Directer D P Singh representative of SIDCO.
The Board members discussed in detail about the activities taken up by the company including skill development, consulting jobs, technical agency, BOT mode design and implementation of projects.
The core strength of the company is provide consultancy to Industries, Project Management, create job oriented skill course, to lift the livelihood of the youth, Consultancy, third part monitoring and audit engineering works.
JKITCO is PSU company established in 1977. It was a pioneer company to provide technical consultancy to Govt as well as to the Public & Private Corporates.
After taking over the company by the New Management in 2013, the new management started statuary compliance, that is compliance of ROC CAG and Income tax in 2017 which were completed all in 2020. Since then the company is fully compliant and generating business from Central Govt Corporations, UT Departments and Corporates
For the first time after many year the turnover crossed Rs 100 lakhs in 2021-22 and Company is targeting Rs 225 lakhs income from Consultancy and other activities.
The Board has emphasised that this year new avenues should be explored for boosting the economy through industrialisation and creation of jobs in the J&K UT.
The Chairman appreciated the efforts being made by the company and it’s staff and advised to work with more zeal and enthusiasm to make this company an example for others
