JKLTF discusses demands

JAMMU, May 9: Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation (JKLTF) in its meeting here today held under the leadership of Mohan Singh its president and Mahashwar Parsad working president discussed various problems of the teachers’ fraternity.
As per a release, the Federation while criticizing the so called transfer policy  alleged that no norms are adopted in issuing transfer orders. It demanded that the authorities should involve the teachers in framing a policy to improve the quality of education. It said Government is busy in transfers and is not paying any heed to improve infrastructure in schools.
The Federation also criticized the Government for not paying the salaries of teachers working under SSA, RMSA, NPS for months together and warned that teachers will come to streets in support of the demand.
The Federation has sought the intervention of Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minster and appealed them to come to the rescue of teachers.  It further demanded selection grade to under graduate teachers.
