JAMMU, July 24: A meeting of All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers’ Federation (JKLTF) was held here today under the chairmanship of State president, Bhushan S Verma and Makund Lal Sharma, veteran trade union leader and chief patron of the Federation, to highlight the demands of the teaching fraternity.
The speakers in the meeting expressed concern over the pick and choose policy adopted by the department in the adjustment of promoted lecturers and headmasters. They also expressed concern over non-payment of the salary of teachers and masters working under SSA and demanded the authorities to release the salary of all such teachers, masters and Lecturers forthwith.
