JAMMU, July 15: A meeting of the central executive body of the all Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation was convened to review the scenario prevailing in the School Education Department of the State vis-a-vis service condition of the teachers, infrastructure in the education institutions and academic issues.
The meeting wad held under the chairmanship of B S Jamwal, who castigated the authorities for being stubborn by not issuing the posting orders of the teachers promoted as Master far back in 2014.
Speaker in the meeting unequivocally expressed their concern over the violation of transfer policy because of political intervention, nepotism, favoritism, besides extraneous considerations.
Federation demanded fool proof transfer policy in accordance with academic need and rotational transfer for those working in far flung and difficult areas, rationalization of the Masters working in certain intuition as surplus staff and their adjustment at suitable posts available in the vicinity of their permanent residence.
Federation called upon the State Government in general and Education Minister Altaf Bukhari in particular to ensure the end of unwanted political interference in the working of Education institutions so as to secure sanctity and autonomy of the institution to ensure that the incident like recently occurring in HSS Basasntgarh do not reoccur.
Among others, who attended the meeting, included Joginder Singh Manhas, Sudashan Sharma, Chaman Lal Sharma, Samsher Singh, Jagdeep Singh Lengeh, Mohan Lal Sharma, Yaseen Ahmed, Rakesh Kalgotra, Dinesh Singh Manhas, Nek Singh Kotwal, Sanjiwan Singh, Inderjeet Gupta, Sandhal Singh, Suresh Kumar, Tara Chand, Ajay Sharma, Dinesh Singh, Satish Sharma Yesh Pal Chowdhary and Naresh Pal.
