JAMMU, June 9: Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) deferred its strike for one month on the assurance of Director General (DG) of Family Welfare, MCH and Immunization Dr Saleem Ur Rehman.
Dr Saleem today called leaders of the Federation and negotiated on the demands of the Federation at DHS office, Jammu. On the behalf of Government, he assusred leaders of the Federation that all the demands of the health employees are genuine and will be settled with in time frame. He also assured the Federation that DPC (Promotion) Rules will be released by the Government within one month positively.
He also told the Federation leaders that the salary of employees working under 2211- Head Family Welfare has been released and final disbursement will be within 2 days. He further assured that the permanent solution of the salary issue will be taken up with the appropriate authority with in time frame. “The issues pertain to Pharmacist registration has been cleared by the State Administrative Council Jammu and sent to Government of India for approval,” he said, adding, demands of Old Pension Scheme will be taken up with the Government of India.
The meeting was also attended by Dr Deepak Kapoor, Deputy Director Health Services (HQ), Dr Sanjay Sharma (Deputy Director, Dentistry) and Federation leaders Sushil Sudan (president JKMEF, Jammu), Parfulat Singh, Kamal Jit Sawhney, Jarnail Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Bharat Bhushan Bhagat, R P Singh and others.
On the assurance of the DG Family Welfare, the Federation deferred its strike for one month but warned to resume the strike if the demands are not accepted within the time frame.
