JAMMU, July 15: A deputation of Jammu and Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) led by its president Sushil Sudan met with Dr Rakesh Mangotra, Director Health Services (DHS) Jammu to discuss the grievances of Health employees of Jammu division.
The deputation urged the Director to conduct DPC of all categories of employees and fill vacant posts. The request was also made to conduct DPC twice in a year i.e. in the month of January and July as the last DPC was conducted in July 2023.
The Director was also apprised of the demands such as release of COVID incentives, change of nomenclature of pharmacists on the analogy of other states, creation of posts of Head Ophthalmic Technicians in District Hospitals and Junior Ophthalmic Technicians in PHCs, upgradation/creation of Senior Pharmacists’ posts in upgraded sub-centers and creation of more Junior Pharmacist posts at PHC and CHC levels for smooth functioning.
Other demands including rationalization of staff, refreezing of technical posts, implementation of CGH scheme for all health employees, establishment of Block Pharmacy Officers and District Pharmacy Officers, creation of Head OT Technicians in all District Hospitals and Technical Officer posts in all District Hospital, establishment of DTCs in newly created districts and expedite the process of reorganization for the post of Electricians were also discussed in the meeting.
Dr Rakesh Mangotra keenly listened to the deputation and assured that their demands will be addressed as earlier as possible.
The deputation was comprised of Bharat Bhushan Bhagat (president, J&K Government Pharmacist Association Jammu), Prafulat Singh (general secretary, JKMEF), Onkar Singh (vice president, JKMEF), Jaswinder Singh (president, OT Technicians Jammu Division), Sunil Chauhan (president, X-Ray Technician), Madan Lal (president, JKMEF District Jammu) and many others.
