JAMMU, June 7: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) under the leadership of State president of the Federation Sushil Sudan met with Raghav Langer Divisional Commissioner Jammu, in his office chamber today.
Sudan projected various demands including DPC (Promotion) for all categories of health employees which has not been done since last four years. He said due to non-conduct of DPC, a number of promotional posts are lying vacant in many hospitals and as a result the system is overburdened in the hospitals.
He said Financial Commissioner Health & Medical Education had also issued directions to the Director Health Services Jammu for fixing of the date of DPC vide letter no HD/ISM/121/215-1 dated 30-03-2021 but she is not paying any attention to the directions of even FC.
Sudan also demanded that the incentives announced by Governor to health employees should be given to all the categories of health employees such as Safaiwallas to doctors because all employees have been working during COVID with same dedication. He further stressed for extending services of all categories of health employees as has been done in case of doctors.
The JKMEF president also emphasized the Divisional Commissioner to intervene personally and ensure early release of insurance money of Rs 50 lakh to the next of kin of health employees who lost their life while fighting COVID-19.
The Divisional Commissioner patiently listened to all the demands and assured the deputation members to take up their demands with the higher authorities for early redressal.
Choudhary Jarnail Singh (working president, Government Pharmacists Association), Kamal Jit Sawhney (general secretary JKGPA), Parfulat Singh (general secretary JKMEF) and Jaswinder Singh (president, OT Technician) were also part of the deputation.
