JKMEF deputation meets MD JKMSCL

JAMMU, July 2: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF), Jammu Province met today with Dr Yash Pal Sharma, Managing Director, Jammu Kashmir Medical Supplies Corporation Limited (JKMSCL) in his office chamber at Marble Market, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu under the leadership of Sushil Sudan (UT president, JKMEF).
In the meeting, it was demanded that work regarding storage and distribution of drugs, health equipment, and machinery should be assigned to Pharmacists cadre in JKMSCL Drug Ware Houses of Jammu & Kashmir.
The MD was appealed to shift JKMSCL Drug Warehouse Jammu from Director Health Services (DHS) complex to any other place as it will help in easing the traffic jam in the premises of DHS complex. They alleged that the trucks from drugs companies and troop carriers of various Blocks and District Hospitals go there for the collection of drugs and contribute to traffic jam.
The deputation members also demanded extension of e – Aushdi portal up to Primary Health Centre level and urged to supply a maximum quantity of medicines to peripheral institutions of the Health Department of UT.
Dr Yash Pal Sharma listened to their demands patiently and discussed their demands one by one. He informed the deputation that the proposal for shifting of the Drug store is submitted to Government for further necessary action. He also said that they have sufficient quantity of drugs and other items in various JKMSCL stores to meet out any requirements. He assured to solve other genuine demands of JKMEF on priority.
Jarnail Singh (working president JKGPA), Kamal Jit Sawhney (general secretary) and R P Singh (publicity secretary) were part of the deputation.
