JKMEF highlights pressing issues of Health employees

JAMMU, Oct 26: Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) today drew the attention of Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary Dr Arun Kumar Mehta towards pressing issues of Health employees.
Addressing a press conference at the Federation office, JKMEF president and member of Pharmacy Council of India, Sushil Sudan said expressed concern over the long standing issue of delayed salary of female multipurpose health workers and other staff and urged the Government to address the salary issue of Health employees working under 2211 Head urgently by adopting reimbursement schemes on the analogy of other states.
Sudan also laid stress on change of nomenclature of Pharmacist as Pharmacy Officers on the analogy of Haryana state. Stating that the General Provident fund is visionary saving of Government employees, he said it is imperative that final GP fund and other dues be disbursed within 15 days after superannuation of Government employees and urged the Government that GP Fund may be shifted to JK bank for better management.
In the light of the recent Government orders for reallocation of employees how have completed 5 years of service at particular place, he requested the Government to consider the special circumstances of terminally ill employees and those nearing superannuation while making such reassignment.
Sudan also extended full support to the program of Joint Action Forum on 04-11-2023 regarding restoration of old pension scheme and urged the Health employees to participate in mass for solution of their demands.
