KATHUA, Aug 24: A one day convention of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) was held today at CHC Bani under the chairmanship of Federation president, Sushil Sudan. During the convention, block Bani unit of the Federation was constituted.
Neeraj Malagar, district president, JKMEF Kathua unit and a large number of employees from various health institutions across the Block participated in the convention.
While addressing the employees, Sushil Sudan highlighted the role of JKMEF and its altruistic contributions towards the welfare of employees. He said that all the employees must stay united, besides working with missionary zeal to serve the society and fighting for the cause of employees.
Vinod Sharma, secretary general, JKMEF, Jarnail Choudhary, president, JKGPA and Choudhary Aslam, president JKLAB Technicians’ Association also addressed the gathering and highlighted the policies and programs of JKMEF.
At the end of the conference, JKMEF unit for Block Bani was constituted. SK Anand was unanimously nominated and elected as president of Block Bani unit while Soraju Din was elected as senior vice president, Rakesh Gupta as vice president, Vinod Anand as general secretary, Brij Lal and Dev Raj as advisors, Ramesh Chand as treasurer, Kirna Devi, Leela Devi and Manoj Kumar as organizers, Sajjad Ahmed and Nitin Kumar as publicity secretaries and Janak Raina, Raj Kumar, Suraj Kumar as well as Sarandas were elected as secretaries.
