JAMMU, Mar 24: A meeting of J&K Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) was held today at Civil Secretariat Jammu with Atal Dulloo, Financial Commissioner (FC) Health and Medical Education JK UT, wherein the FC listened to the grievances of the employees.
Various seniors officer of Health and Family Welfare including Director General, P&S Health and Medical Education (H&ME) Department, Director Finance H&ME Department, Additional Secretary H&ME (M), Additional Secretary H&ME (C), Additional Secretary H&ME (B) Director General Family Welfare, MCH and Immunization, State Drugs Controller, Director Health Jammu and Under Secretary to Government (A) H&ME Department attended the meeting. Director Health Kashmir participated through video conferencing.
The main demands put forth by the Federation leaders were early conduct of DPC at par with Government Medical College/Drug & Food Control Organization, making all the promotions strictly in accordance to the seniority, releasing compensation to kin of employees who lost their life while fighting COIVD-19, releasing pending salary of the Female Multipurpose Health Workers, registration of Government Pharmacists under Central Pharmacy Act 1948 and permanent solution of Salary Head 2211.
The Federation leaders also stressed for providing Risk Allowance to all non Gazetted employees working in Health and Family Welfare Department, promotion of Female Multipurpose Health Workers who are trained LHVs in new OHCs and fixation of 50% quota for their promotion as Health Educators, over time allowance to all the employees who are performing 12 hours night duty and creation of posts of Sanitary Inspector at PHC’s, SDH’s, District Hospitals and newly created GMCs.
The Financial Commissioner patiently listened to all the demands put forth by the Federation leaders and senior officers of the department and gave on spot directions to the concerned officers for early redressal of the genuine demands.
Prominent Federation leaders participated in the meeting were Sushil Sudan (president JKMEF), Prafuat Singh (general secretary JKMEF), Choudhary Jarnail Singh (working president, Government Pharmacist Association), Neelam Kumari (president, JK Female Multipurpose Worker Association) and Sanjay Khajuria (president, Dental Technician Employees Association).
