JAMMU, July 7: Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) has urged the Government to shun lame excuses and implement 7th Pay Commission (PC) in the State at the earliest.
Addressing a meeting of JKMEF, the Federation president, Sushil Sudan, strongly condemned the indifferent attitude of J&K Government towards its employees by not implementing 7th PC by quoting excuse of financial crunch.
He said where this financial crunch was when the salary of Legislatures and Ministers were doubled in a single stroke and now in case of employees the Government is giving excuses of financial crunch. “The financial crisis is merely for employees and not for Legislators/ Ministers which shows the double standard of Government”, he added.
Sudan urged upon the Government to implement the recommendations of 7th PC at the earliest otherwise the State employees are left with no other option, except to adopt the path of agitations and protests which will not be in favour of Government as well as public.
