JKMEF urges Govt to fill all vacant administrative posts

JAMMU, Dec 23: Jammu & Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) Jammu has urged upon the Government to fill the vacant post which is at lying vacant at administrative level for a long time.
Addressing a press conference here today, JKMEF president Sushil Sudan said that a number of administrative posts lying vacant since long are creating lot of problems for the public as well as employees.
Sudan disclosed that the post of Deputy Director Health Services (Schemes) Jammu is vacant for last 3 months, post of Assistant Director Health Education Bureau Jammu for last 8 months, Assistant Director Rehbar e Sehat Jammu post for more than two years and post of State Veneriologist for last 6 months.
He further shared that the post of State Malariologist is lying vacant for last 2 months, post of Medical Superintendent SDH Jagti (Nagrota, Jammu) for last 4 months and the post of Block Medical Officer Nowshera is vacant for last 1 month.
The JKMEF president said that after their meeting with Bhupinder Kumar, Secretary, Health & Medical Education Department at civil Secretariat, Jammu on December 16, few posts were filled by the Government on December 21 but maximum number of posts are still lying vacant.
“Every officer holds three or more additional charge and it is very difficult to run two or more sections for them. It is not possible to run two sections by one officer efficiently,” Sudan said and demanded the Government to fill the vacant posts in the Health Department at the earliest so that administrative decision can be taken in the interest of public as well as for employees.
Others present in press conference were Kamal Jit Sawhney, Madan Sharma, Parfulat Singh, R P Singh, Darminder Singh, Govind Sharma, Tajinder Singh, Sanjay Choudhary, Bharat Bushan Baghat, Jaswinder Singh, Shafkat Hussain and Bahadur Singh.
