JKMTCA members highlight grievances of transporters

JAMMU, Nov 13: A meeting of the representative of different transport companies under the banner of JKMTCA today discussed various problems being faced by the transporters in J&K.
Speaking in the meet, Joginder Singh Raina, ex chairman JKMTCA, highlighted the problem created by SRTC which was allegedly promoting the business of sub letting. This practice is causing a great business loss to transport community as a whole, he added.
Ch Piara Singh, ex president, said that some outside Industrialist running their business in J&K, were settling their associates here and allotting their goods to outsider transports depriving the local transport of the business.
Tej Ram Gupta, ex president JKMTCA, appealed to the contractors connected with transport business to come forward and discuss their problems with the JKMTCA to sort out the problems.
Others who spoke in the meeting, included Amrik Singh and Nanak Singh.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of various transport companies, including BKTS, BTG, Shalimar TPT, Pine Valley TPT, STWC, Pritam TPT, Jain TPT, KPTS, RRl, PMS, RMS, AVTS, TrS, SlndvCJney, Hemkund TPT, Gupta TPT, STe, SRW, Advance TPT, NSTS, NHTS, RKTC, Northern India TPT Service, Siman TPT, Milan TPT, HTS and Associated Carrier.
