Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, May 21: Jammu Kashmir Nationalist Movement (JKNM) convened an interaction programme here today with prominent displaced KP members hailing from all the districts of the Valley which was chaired by JKNM convener, Dr K N Pandita.
In a handout issued by the JKNM, it said the programme was aimed to bring awareness and to reach broader consensus about the team interlocutors’ endorsement in their report to settle down all the displaced community in a twin city of Srinagar (Nav Srinagar) and about the observations made by the Chairman Standing Committee of Rajya Sabha on Home Affairs relating to displaced community in its 169th report.
While deliberating on the core issue of restitution and retention in the Valley almost every member present in the meeting resented the Government’s negative and ornamental attitude and its failure to bring a comprehensive plan to preserve this ancient ethnic religious identity.
