JAMMU, Apr 12: Jammu and Kashmir Nationalist People’s Front (JKNPF) today organized an anti-drug rally in Jammu City to spread awareness among the common masses against the drug menace and send a message to the youth to keep them away from this menace.
Several leaders and activists of JKPNF, besides students of various schools and common masses participated in this rally which passed through main bazaars of Jammu City. Holding banners with anti-drug quotes written on them, the participants spread awareness among the people during the rally.
Speaking on the occasion, JKNPF leaders said after launching anti-drug campaign in Kashmir province, they have now started their campaign in Jammu province with their 1st anti-drug rally from Jammu City. Click here to watch video
They said some political parties deliberately push the youth towards drugs. “Our party believes that youth are the future, and securing their future is crucial for politics. We oppose this kind of dirty politics and aims to bring a revolution, but it can only be achieved by following the right path,” they added.
“The JKNPF is committed to making drug-addicted youth healthy again and will take them to drug de-addiction centers to ensure proper treatment,” the Party leaders said and urged the people to come forward and help them identify the youth affected by drugs so that they can provide proper treatment.
They said today’s rally is important as it not only raises awareness about the evils of drugs but also warns those who are supplying them. Society needs to come together to fight this social problem,” they added. They further stated that the Party has dedicated a separate team at their office to deal with all drug and addiction-related issues. “If drug activity is happening anywhere, people can inform us and we assure that their identity will not be disclosed,” the Party leaders said.
