JAMMU, Nov 3: The Women Wing of J&K National Panthers Party (JKNPP) convened a meeting here, today under the leadership of its general secretary Anita Thakur. In a strong resolution the Panthers Party challenged the detention by Jammu police of former Navy officer Sardar Amandeep Singh of Jammu, Nanak Nagar. The Gandhi Nagar Police Station sent its policemen to the house of ex-serviceman of Navy, Amandeep Singh and dragged him to the Police Station, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
The Panthers Party expressed deep shock and the anger that a nationalist person Ex-Serviceman has been arrested for raising, hoisting the Tiranga and National Flag on a Government owned flat in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu some days back. Amandeep Singh has two children and his wife at home who was crying and asking the police for the offence her husband has committed.
