JKNPP for implementing Minimum Wages Act for SPOs, HGs

JAMMU, Jan 29: J&K National Panthers Party today demanded the Central Government to implement Minimum Wages Act for SPOs and Home Guards (HGs) serving in J&K and Ladakh.
“All the disengaged SPOs of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh must be re-engaged at their previous places of posting and they must be given the grade of constable and all kind of allowances that a constable gets in Government service,” said general secretary of JKNPP Trade Union Sewa Singh Bali, while addressing a press conference, here today.
He batted for regularization of SPOs and Home Guards already serving in the Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh policy. Till their regularization, the SPOs and Home Guards should be given salary as per Minimum Wages Act, he asserted. Bali also stressed for enhancement of salary of cooks, Anganwari workers, Safaikaramcharis and Numberdars.
Kamla Sharma (president, Home Guards Association) was also present in the press conference.
