JAMMU, Mar 22: J&K National Panthers Party is going to celebrate its Foundation Day tomorrow at Panthers Ground at Garnai Udhampur, wherein rich tributes will be paid to Prof Bhim Singh, the founder of the party.
This was informed by Vilakshan Singh, President J&K National Panthers Party, while addressing a press conference, here today.
Claiming that leaders of other opposition parties, including Congress and National Conference will also participate in the Foundation Day function, he said that the Panthers have decided to unite the opposition against the dictatorial attitude of the ruling party.
“In a democracy, the opposition plays a vital role and keeps the ruling party within its bounds. BJP has imposed an undeclared emergency and is putting all its efforts to crush the opposition so that nobody is there to oppose its anti people policies,” said the JKNPP President.
Vilakshan Singh alleged that BJP has strengulated democracy in J&K by delaying Assembly elections in UT. He said that the people in J&K are being ruled by bureaucrats who are not accountable to the people. “They are making anti people laws and are resorting to anti people policies,” he said and added that almost all sections of the society are fed up with the proxy BJP rule in J&K.
“Daily wagers are crying for regularisation, youth have to face wrath of police for demanding transparency in recruitment process, migrant employees and Jammu based reserved category employees are seeking their adjustment in safe place. The general public is also suffering due to rising inflation rate and unprecedented unemployment. But the administration in UT of J&K, instead of providing relief to the people, is adding salt to their bounds by imposing taxes,” he said.
Vilakshan Singh informed the media that the senior leaders of regional and national opposition parties will attend the Foundation Day function of J&K National Panthers Party. Main parties, whose leaders will be gracing the occasion include Congress, National Conference, RJD , NCP and CPI(M), he added and appealed to the people of J&K to participate in the Foundation Day function of JKNPP.
