JKNPP holds rally, blocks National Highway

UDHAMPUR Sept  9: Jammu & Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) unit Udhampur today organized  a massive protest demonstration in which  a large number of  the Party activists under the leadership of Balwant Singh Mankotia MLA & State President JKNPP took part. To register their anger against the State Government for not implementing the schemes meant for public welfare in the district. They also blocked the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway for two hours.
They also protested against the district administration regarding growing corruption in the Government departments.
The protesters  gathered at Party Office Udhampur in large number and marched to Mini Stadium in a rally.  Later they took out a rally and after passing through different bazaars of city it reached in front of Deputy Commissioner Office, Udhampur were a peaceful demonstration was held.
The rallyists were raising slogans against corruption especially in DC Office, Udhampur. They  demanded that all the corrupt officers should be kicked out from District Udhampur so that common man can get justice. They blocked the National Highway for two hours in support of there demands.
While addressing the gathering Mr. Mankotia said that that corruption in District Udhampur has gone up very high due to which common man is suffering, It take days  to just have a file to move from one quarter to another  quarter, he warned the District Administration to check the menace of corruption in Udhampur District.
Dhanir Ram Atri senior leader of Panthers Party said that  teachers selection list was published about one year back but these candidate are not allowed to join as teachers on the other hand 80% school facing staff shortage problem and about 10% schools are forced to shut down due to non availability of school teachers.
Sudesh Sharma district president said that 1129 post of Assistant professors were sanctioned for J&K Colleges but only 429 for Jammu Province & 700 for Kashmir province where as both the regions have equal number of colleges. Sukh Dev Singh State general. secretary told that after lapse of six months in current year not even a single work under MGNREGA have been started in Udhampur District.
Sunil Proach senior leader told that after formation of NC Congress Government in the state not even a single Old Age, Widow & Handicap have be given pension in the State.
Mr. Mankotia  appealed the party workers, students, youth and general public to join the movement initiated by the Panthers Party against Corruption, discrimination, and the attitude of State Government. for implementing the various schemes in Jammu Provience.
Mr. Mankotia threatened district administration and State Government that if there  above demands are not agreed with in days the Panthers Party will intensify the agitation against district administration and State Government.
