JKNPP, JSM, BJP MLAs stage walk-out from Assy over Rehab Policy

JAMMU :  Amid noisy scenes, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party legislators alongwith members of ‘rebel’ Bhartiya Janata Party and Jammu State Morcha today staged a walk-out from the State Legislative Assembly over Rehabilitation Policy.
Rehabilitation Policy (Surrender Policy) was introduced by the State Government for those, who went to Pakistan for arms training and wanted to return back along with their families to lead a normal life.
The members of JKNPP moved an adjournment motion to discuss the Rehab Policy but it was rejected by Speaker Mubarak Gul following which the MLAs created uproar and disrupted the House proceedings.
The JKNPP legislators supported by JSM and rebel BJP MLAs staged protest and wanted the House to discuss about the policy in detail.
The members alleged that the militants, who wanted to surrender as per the policy and wanted to return back to their homes on this side of the border is a threat to the nation’s security and it should be looked into.
Shouting slogans, the members later staged walk-out from the Legislative Assembly.
