REASI, Mar 20: To highlight failures of the Central as well as State Government, Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party today held a strong protest at Bus Stand Reasi under the leadership of State president Balwant Singh Mankotia.
A numbers of Panthers Party workers took part in the protest and raised slogans against the State Government.
While addressing the gathering, Mankotia charged the Centre and State Governments with failure on all fronts. He said that the ruling BJP had made big promises with the public before the elections but the party totally failed in fulfilling those promises after coming to power. He listed such assurances in front of protestors.
“This Government had made a promise of giving jobs to the youth but nothing has been done so far while the BJP promise of bringing back black money is still a distant dream,” the JKNPP leader said.
Stating that the State Government had failed to deport Rohingyas and Bangladeshis from Jammu despite brewing public outrage, he demanded immediate repatriation of these illegal immigrants. He said the BJP-PDP combine was disregarding the public sentiment with regard to the eviction of “illegally settled foreign immigrants” from Jammu.
Mankotia said if the Rohingyas were settled in Jammu during the Congress rule, the BJP had provided them all amenities and facilitated their stay in and around the winter capital. “They illegally raised fabricated slums at some of the congested colonies in Jammu city and managed to procure PRCs, Aadhaar cards, ration cards, free water connections during the saffron rule,” he alleged.
Mr Mankotia also raised the issue of fake FIRs registered on Talwara village youths by local police. He alleged that the Government had failed in redressing the issues of Anganwari workers, Contractual workers and daily wagers.
