JKNPP takes out protest rally demanding separate State for Jammu

UDHAMPUR, July 11: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) today took out a protest rally here from party office to office of the Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, in support of demand of separate State for Jammu region.
Under the leadership of MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia, State president, JKNPP, hundreds of party workers from different parts of district gathered at party office Udhampur, wherefrom holding banners and placards and raising slogans for separate State for Jammu, they took out a protest rally.
The rally which after passing through different Baazars finally reached opposite Deputy Commissioner’s office, where the demonstrators blocked road for about two hours by staging dharna leading to disruption of traffic on both sides of the road.
While addressing the demonstrators, Mankotia said that people of Jammu are being ignored from last sixty five years in jobs, development, political share and various other fields. Time to time people of Jammu raised their voice for justice by fighting many agitations but Government always crushed these agitations, he said, adding the time has come when people of Jammu region should unite and fight for separate State to avoid further discrimination in future.
Meanwhile, JKNPP also held protest dharnas in different District Head Quarters including Jammu, Reasi and Ramban.
