KATHUA, Oct 22: Raising pro India slogans, JKNPP took out an impressive “Vilay Divas (Accession Day) Rally” in Kathua on sixth day of its ongoing Accession Day celebration programme across Jammu division.
The party activists, riding on bikes with ‘Tricolours’ and Party flags in their hands, assembled at Kali Bari and took out the impressive rally. Being led by Harsh Dev Singh, chairman JKNPP, Balwant Singh Mankotia, State president JKNPP and Yashpal Kundal, State president of Young Panthers, the rally passed through several markets, lanes and streets before culminating at Main Market Kathua where the leaders addressed the gathering.
Harsh Dev Singh, while addressing the gathering, informed about the JKNPP decision of holding district-wise rallies to celebrate Accession Day of the State with the Union of India like a national carnival.
Harsh Dev Singh said that the final rally shall be taken out on October 27 in Jammu with pomp and show. He further maintained that the main motive behind the rallies is to disseminate the public about the importance of the day which otherwise was lost in the annals of history and to thwart the divisive designs of the secessionist forces operating from few quarters in Kashmir on the behest of Pakistan. He said that for the last more than 100 days, certain anti national elements were hell bent to showcase the separatist ideology by waving Pak and ISIS flags in Kashmir besides inciting sedition but the success of these rallies had proven that the majority of people of the State were hard core nationalists who always endorsed the State’s Accession with the country. He vociferously asserted that J&K was, is and will remain an integral part of India and no power on earth can separate the State from the country which was acknowledged by the audience with a thundering applause.
Mr Singh hailed the Accession as a symbol of nationalism and appealed the people to celebrate the revered day like any other National day vis a vis Jan 26 and Aug 15.
Balwant Singh Mankotia and Yashpal Kundal also appealed the people to maintain unity and mutual brotherhood at all costs for keeping the secular character of the region intact and alive.
