JKP bids farewell to Alok Puri, Vijay Kumar

JAMMU, Mar 2: A warm send off was given to Additional Director General of Police (Crime), Alok Puri and DIG Armed (Jammu), Vijay Kumar, by J&K Police (JKP) at an impressive function held here at Officers’ Mess, Gulshan Ground.
The function was attended by Director General of Police (DGP), Dr SP Vaid, Chairperson, PWWA, Bharti Vaid, a galaxy of senior police/civil officers and PWWA members.
Alok Puri superannuated after rendering his services at different positions in the department. He joined State police service in the year 1984 and remained posted at different posts during his service career.
Vijay Kumar, a State police service officer, also served the State at different positions and was presently posted as DIG Armed Jammu.
While speaking on the occasion, the DGP highlighted the capabilities of the both the officers and said that the officers with their excellent organizational skills contributed much to the organization. He wished them a healthy and prosperous post retirement life.
Special DG, PHQ, VK Singh also complimented the unblemished service of the outgoing officers.
Cultural items were presented by the J&K Police cultural group on the occasion. The retiring officers were presented mementoes by the DGP.
DG Prisons, Dilbag Singh, ADGsP SJM Gillani, AG Mir, M Suleman Salaria and Muneeer Ahmad Khan, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Heemant Kumar Sharma, IGP Dr SD Singh Jamwal, Rajesh Kumar, Danesh Rana, Jagjit Kumar, SA Watali, MA Ganaie, JP Singh, Alok Kumar, SK Gupta, SA Mujtaba, Basant Kumar Rath, SSP Jammu, Vivek Gupta and DC Jammu, Kumar Rajeev Ranjan, also attended the function.
