JKP cop donates plasma to save KAS officer’s life

Srinagar, July 23: Jammu and Kashmir Police yesterday took an initiative in association with Department of Health and Medical Department in organising a plasma screening camp at Kashmir Nursing Home, Gupkar Srinagar.
Under this initiative J&K Police personnel who had contracted the COVID-19 infection and have recovered will voluntarily donate plasma.
Setting an example and leading from the front Police constable Syed Zulfikar Ali, who is deployed at Anantnag in IRP 11th Battalion had volunteered to donate the plasma to Tasaduq Jeelani, KAS, Special Secretary, Social Welfare Department who is admitted in ICU of JVC hospital and was in immediate need of (O- negative) plasma.
SSP Sandeep Mehta Commandant IRP 11th Bn. at Anantnag without wasting any time facilitated two donors from his Battalion as soon as he got to know about the immediate need of plasma for KAS officer.
The Constable who had previously recovered from COVID-19 voluntarily donated his plasma on Wednesday to save a precious life.
Tasaduq Jeelani is said to be recuperating from the disease. His family and friends have thanked Constable Syed Zulfikar Ali and SSP Sandeep Mehta for their support.
